Nathan Phillips is a MULTI PLATINUM, Grammy Award-winning mix engineer, recording engineer, and vocal producer based in Los Angeles.
Nathan got his start as an engineer in Cincinnati, OH at The Monastery under Ric Hordinski where he worked with touring bands such as The National and Feist, as well as countless bands in the midwestern alternative and punk scenes.
In 2019, Nathan moved to Los Angeles to assist Grammy Award winning mixer Jeff Ellis. Jeff and Nathan worked on numerous projects together, including works with The Neighbourhood, Joji, Snoh Aalegra, and many more.
In 2020, Nathan engineered Omar Apollo’s critically acclaimed album, Ivory, which earned Apollo his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The album includes the Platinum single “Evergreen,” which Nathan engineered, vocal produced, and mixed.
After the release of Apollo’s EP “Live For Me,” Nathan transitioned to his current role as a full time, independent mixer. He has since mixed works with Chappell Roan, Jean Dawson, Remi Wolf, Lola Young, Role Model, Gus Dapperton, and many, many more.
